The North of England deserves a strong voice in Parliament.

I am a firm believer in small Government. People and communities should be left alone by Whitehall which too often tries to impose a "one size fits all" approach" to life. I trust teachers, health workers, police and parents to know what is best for them. Government should be in the business of rewarding aspiration and not in the business of protecting privilege. It should stand up for those who live by the rules.

KEEPING ALL POST OFFICES IN LANCASTER AND WYRE OPEN AND AVAILABLE FOR GENERATIONS TO COME

Ben is totally opposed to plans by the Government to slash thousands of Post Offices. In May, the then Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, Alistair Darling MP, announced that the Government would be slashing approximately 2,500 Post Offices over the next few years...

As part of the Armed Forces week Celebrations Wyre & Preston North MP Ben Wallace attended a Plaque unveiling ceremony at the Fylde Arboretum along with other Fylde Coast MPs. Various Plaques were unveiled including one for 137 Regiment Royal Artillery. ....

After the Christmas I have had (with stomach bugs and, as I write children with Chicken Pox) and this weather, I shall be glad when it is spring. I am conscious that I haven't been writing much in the Community News recently but I ask for your forgiveness. We had our third child at the end of last year and it has been exhausting to say the least - three children of four and under!
